Locate at the top of the road inside Taroko National Park, this restaurant serves traditional aboriginal Taiwanese cuisine from one of the local tribes. The building is like a large lodge and is surrounded by wood carvings made from whole logs-- including one of Jeremy Lin displayed prominently that is inscribed "林來瘋 (Linsanity) - pride of Taiwan". Other carvings are mostly wild boars and birds. The food is great and it is a casual and beautiful place to have lunch. While you eat you can see dozens of butterflies fly back and forth across the windows outside.
