The 17-mile drive is a great one to do when you're in Monterey/Carmel. It's $10 to get in on the route, but it's worth it! There are many beautiful stops and sights to see. I'd suggest going in the summer, because I went in December and it was raining pretty heavily. The first couple of stops I still got out of the car to take photos and to take in the scene, but after being soaked and feeling miserable, I just viewed everything through the rain streaks of my windows. (If I saw it in the summer, the rating probably would be higher, but we'll just have to see when I go back!)

Beautiful drive. The 17 mile drive is a great drive showcasing some of the nicest and most expensive golf courses in the country. To take this drive you will also see nice houses, the ocean, and seals. There is a fee to enter into the 17 mile drive and eating at any of the golf courses is more expensive.

The previous reviewers have said it all. This is one of California's many scenic wonders and one not to be missed. Even if you take the drive when the route is misted over with fog, as it often is during the summer, the views are spectacular.

This is a very spectacular drive through great villas and a very tidy lanscape, built by th man but completly under nature strength. It occurred it was a windy day when we drove through It and I was relly astonished by colours and the sea strength.

If you're ever in the Carmel or Monterey area, 17mile drive is an absolute must to drive and see. Beautiful mansions overlooking the Pacifci ocean & Pebble Beach Golf Course. You can also finnd Clint Eastwood's Estate if you look hard enough. "Don't Miss This Drive"!!

If you are in the area, do not miss this.
This is a beautiful road with stops along the way that will take your breath away.
If you are with kids, dress them up warm because in some of the stops the wind is very string and it's much colder.Recommended for:Family Travelers
