Monk is awesome! He has true character! I meant funny and sweet for his personalities!
My youngest sister wanted to get her tattoo done after she turned 18. Of course, I told her that my parents would kill her if she did it. Well, as the oldest sister, pushed came to shove. I love her too much that I gave her a sweet deal. My sister would get her tattoo after she finished high school with nothing but A's on her report card, turned 18, and kept up her goals. Ya know what? She kept her word. So, here comes the moment she got what she wanted. Just so happens, my family know the people that work here. It was an experience she'll never forget...she has something to look at the mirror and remember her two sisters laughing at her with the scared look on her face with her first tattoo she got. HAHA!
Quick and simple. He took care of my sister with great care. He sure made her feel at ease, explained everything in great detail, pleasant to work on her tattoo, gave ideas, etc. When he was finished with her work, she felt nothing but satisfied that made her want to come back for another. Yeah, not only did she want a few more, but she also recommended her friends to check them out!
I've also gotten my first tattoo here by Monk. He made me laugh too much that he had to stop himself from continuing on with his work a couple of times whenever I giggled in place. My overall experience was unforgettable! I'll come back for my next one!

Monk does remember me.... lmao
It's amazing that after 12 years he still remembers his work on my back. Of course I suppose we have Elle to thank for that due the website. It's a lil known fact that at the center of my mark of the four waves piece is Monk's art work from a dozen years ago.
What do you do when you have a day to kill with a friend who inks? Well, you spend it with him inking you. Mark is a great artist with a gentle touch and concern for his client. Though I'm a bit experienced in this matter he still asked how I was holding up. Other than being talented, he and I have a lot in common and can't wait to finally drink with him again after lent is all over with.
The shop in itself is a relaxed place bumping beats inducing a mellow atmosphere. Of course it tends to get busier later in the day where I got to meet a whole mess of people.
