If you're into graffiti, this place is the bomb. It's a giant warehouse space that is continually being covered in fresh artwork--people come from all over the world to work on it. It's handily right across the street from PS1 in Queens--or you can take a quick peek at it when you go by on the 7 train! [As of 10/13, this place was slated to be torn down--go while you can!]

Whether you're into hip hop culture, graffiti art, or just want to take interesting pictures of an industrial building with tons of graffiti visual art, then 5 Pointz is worth a visit. It's also free.

What an amazing aerosol art space this is in Long Island City. These few images I've captured are really only a flavour of what's on view here. Grafitti artists from around the world have traveled here, to display their talent, and this building is a must see on a visit to this part of Queens.

5Pointz is so awesome! It's a great little hidden treasure in NYC you can use to impress locals & visitors alike. The scenery is always changing, and I saw various artists working on their graffiti during my visit. The area around 5Pointz seems to be pretty cool as well, with the MOMA PS1 across the street and a couple interesting bars & galleries. Definitely worth checking out over and over!

This a great place to visit for a truly unique “New York City” experience: a constantly evolving graffiti museum! All of the artwork is located on the exterior of the building, a massive industrial facility that serves as a vivid canvas designed by an array of artists including New York legends and visiting writers from across the globe. You may take as many photos as you want (for personal use), and you will certainly want to capture and preserve some of the astonishing demonstrations of skill by these rebel artists. Since everything is on display outside, you should make sure the weather is cooperative before venturing out to visit. Also, 5 Pointz is right down the street from PS1, the contemporary branch of MOMA, so you can easily plan to see both within the same time span. An insider’s tip from personal experience: every 4th of July, there’s a neighborhood block party on the roof—the BEST spot in the whole city to watch the fireworks!
