came on a weekday which was quite empty. We got seated right away with two glasses of water for us. We ordered the spicy sauce chicken and the sauce chicken. It was a huge portion to shared between us two.
My eyes was bigger than my stomach because we could not finish the whole thing. There was plenty of wings left that we ended up taking them home. I could not helped but to eat their all you can eat salad bar and steamed rice. I love their refreshing salad bar, it made eating the fried chicken much easier.
Overall, I love the concept of this place and the price is great for the amount of food you get. I am positive I will be eating here again when I get the craving for fried chicken with those spicy sauce.

I've heard a lot about this place from fellow Yelpers and strong word-of-mouth, so I finally got to try it. It's Korean-style fried chicken vs. KFC vs. Popeye's Chicken vs. Hooters buffalo wings! Who's the winner?
To be honest, the fried chicken is OK. Not too bad, but nothing too special either; nothing truly stands out in terms of flavor and taste. The only positive part? The chicken pieces are quite large, unlike other fried chicken joints. We ordered the 10-Piece Combo, which included both regular and spicy fried chicken: 5 Drumsticks and 5 Wings. The regular fried chicken was OK, but didn't stand out too much, until you dip it in the honey sauce provided. The spicy fried chicken was drenched in red sauce, which was not only spicy but also mildly sweet. Downside, is that it's too much sauce!
The free salad bar is a cool concept where you can mix and match your own salad, but the selection and choices are pretty weak. Nothing too special about it but it's good after downing a bunch of fried chicken!
The decor of the place is pretty cool, though, with every inch of the wall plastered with photos of the customers eating fried chicken or drinking Korean beer. It evokes a very customer-friendly environment and reminiscent of a giant photo collage!
Overall, the chicken wasn't too bad and wasn't very greasy, but in terms of taste and flavor, KFC's secret recipe is still king of them

Great fries chicken, love the salad bar, love the Soju, really dislike their minimum chicken order for large groups! We just want to share sometimes!!! With that said, we still go back here quite often! The chicken is really good! Enjoy!

My go to place for fried chicken, the spicy red Korean sauce is amazing! The chicken is fried right in front of you and comes out deliciously piping hot. There's unlimited salad at the bar and rice which are added perks. Other perks include that they take reservations, serve Soju, and they take a fun photo of your party which they post on their massive wall collage along with everyone else! A fun spot to go with friends, I can remember many fun nights here. Food is really cheap, just be careful sometimes they come up with a minimum of how many pieces you have to order which sometimes they don't always enforce.

Despite all the flack i will probably get for posting this.. i will still elaborate on my rating though I really want to like this place... i have so many fond memories here and the food is still great though on two occasions have i been met with horribly excruciating service.
Long story short, I came here during a slow period of the day with a typically large group of about a dozen and whether it was due to miscommunication or some other banal excuse, the person taking my order was getting angry that I was not ordering enough for my party. Top it all off she was making a scene and it was a touch uncalled for since most of the party was new to the place and were having a bad first impression. I tried to salvage the situation and ordered as much as she required (6 orders of chicken). In the end, it was too much but we finally finished it. In the end, what annoyed me the most was when she tried to apologize when we were leaving for the outburst.. that's not it though, she apologized to someone else in the party other than me.
Just thinking about it is irking me.
With that all being said, coming in here with a small group will more than likely will result in you feeling perfectly satisfied. Though if you are so inclined to go here in a larger than life group, be sure to have brushed up on your Korean or have your opa's or nuna's in tow to help ease your large ass party into deep fried heaven.

I really like 99 Chicken! A true ma and pop shop, I still see the pop dip the chicken in the batter and bread each time I go there. A delicious meal for lunch or dinner, or even after those late night Fri/Sat nights. They also have a little salad area that's inclusive of whatever you order.

I like 99 chicken but it just wasn't as good as I remembered. That is no fault of the restaurant. I think my taste buds have slowly evolved over time.
Had the combination plate. It came with 10 pieces of generous size drumsticks, legs and wings in 4 different flavors. That is plenty for two to share without getting sick of fried chicken. The only flavor I could recommend is the plain original. Eat it with some hot sauce (from the bottle on the table, not those came with the wings) if you want to give it an extra kick. All other flavors with sauce were just overwhelmingly sweet. The skin was crispy but a bit on the hard side.
Self served all you can eat complimentary salad and rice if you dine in. Take out box will cost you a dollar. They have frequent eater program too.

Korean fried chicken that you can order with different sauces on it (like sweet & spicy). I've tried a few of the sauces but decided that I like the plain old fried chicken the best. The condiments at the bar are unlimited, so I end up eating a ton of pickled cabbage to balance out the fried chicken that I stuff myself with.
