recommended Hotel Park CityI can not say enough about the quality that is the Hotel Park City (HPC). I'll try. When you first pull in to HPC you feel the charm of the traditional ski lodge. Its big , but not enormous. As you ... read moreare greeted by the bellmen you walk into a cozy lobby with soft chairs, a sofa and a floor to ceiling bay window that frames the Park CIty range just right. There is a huge wood burning fireplace and a small coffee stand for complimentary pick me ups. The funniest moment I and a few guests had was the discovery of the "front desk". Instead of the customary wall dividing guest from receptionist. The front desk is literally a desk...in the front. 2 people and their computers check you in as you relax in a soft high back chair. Very nice. In the center of the lobby is the concierge desk and if there was one unlabeled highlight of the stay it was Jude. Jude is the purest definition of concierge. He knew the town, but he literally went way above and beyond to make sure your stay was amazing. We mis judged an event while we were there and asked for a taxi. Jude knew where every taxi was and without hesitation he said he could drive us there faster than the wait for a ride. That was a kindness I was not us too. Our executive suite room, which is the base room, was amazing. Two level suite, large living area with extremely comfortable leather chairs, a gas fireplace, washer dryer, dishwasher, stove, dishes, cutlery and bowls, a balcony with a view, 2 LED TV's, plenty of storage, desk and a real king size bed, not one where you sink 4' down into with overstuffed comforters. I'm not a fan of that growing trend. A bathroom with a full size jacuzzi tub, marble bathroom and large stand up shower with two shower heads. Incredible. We keep hearing there were more luxurious hotels, or newer hotels on the mountain, but honestly with what you get and the great staff I would seriously give this hotel a solid look if visiting Park City. That reminds me. There is a Park City hotel on main, when using a bus be sure to say "Hotel" Park City or just ask them to take you to Ruth Chris Steakhouse which is on property.
- Red Banjo Pizza Parlour322 Main St, Park City, UT 84060recommended Red Banjo Pizza ParlourThe Red Banjo is a very clean, very friendly pizza parlour. The decor is simple but unique with a range of banjo's young and old hanging on the wall. I'm sure each has a story but nothing suggested ... read morethat. Its the closest thing to a bun and run in Park City. Plastic trays, Bob Evans style vinyl table cloths and hot, fast food. For a pizza parlour they recommended the Philly Cheese steak sandwich which was good, but a little small. We also had the pulled pork sandwich which didn't appeared like processed meat product. The onion rings were the highlight. It wasn't bad, but not a $35 lunch.
recommended Park CityWe went to Park City for Sundance but I was very impressed with the city itself. The mountain backdrop and the historic buildings make this destination a post card vacation.
