I must admit a certain trepidation about entering this motel. Located in one of the worst areas of Portland (SE 82nd), the Aaron Motel is the model cheap budget hotel. It would certainly be competitive in the Portland sleaze contest!
The atmosphere of the motel was unfriendly which was complemented by the complete lack of eye contact and disrespectful demeanor from the Manager. The rooms were smelly and not up to standard based on other budget motels in different areas reviewed. The rates were far too high for what was being offered a few miles away and the amenities included free off- street parking (it’s a motel!), a microwave and refrigerator.
The hotel is centrally located on SE 82nd and there are some shopping advantages in the area. Nothing more can really be said about this motel other than expect a nightmare if you are unfortunate enough to need to stay there!Recommended for:Budget Travelers

This place is pretty gross and I don’t recommend staying here. Yes, the rates are low, but for the same price, you can easily find somewhere a bit nicer in a better part of town. The room I visited smelled like stale cigarettes and it was in desperate need of a refurb. They do come equipped with microwaves and fridges and there's onsite parking, as with all motels. Unfortunately, it's on a street that is both notorious for prostitution and a bit far from the city center. To top it all off, the owner isn’t very friendly (he does have an adorable, sweet, outgoing grandkid, though). The only redeeming factor is that they are right next to a little Vietnamese mini-mall with a few good restaurants.
