Abbett Placer Inn combines modern sensibility with Victorian charm to create a one of a kind bed and breakfast. This quaint venue has a whimsical feel and each of the rooms have plenty of nooks and crannies. We were welcomed by the friendly owners and their Labrador retriever, Buddy. Then we enjoyed some delicious cranberry bread in the dining and living area.
The large upstairs bedroom known as the Peaks Panorama Suite has a lovely balcony with a view of both the mountains and Breckenridge. The big bed and couch are perfect for snuggling up on a cold winter’s night. The Inn has also been completely renovated to be more environmentally friendly and includes motion sensitive LED lights to save electricity, solar panels, and extensive recycling.Recommended for:

This bright purple bed and breakfast is a wonderful place to have some tea and cake after hitting the slopes.
In the morning, they make breakfast from scratch! The owners of this house are on-site, and very kind.
You can walk to town from the Abbett Placer Inn, and catch the free shuttles to the slopes.
They have an outdoor hot tub, and optional decks for guests.
This is one of the only self-proclaimed eco-friendly spots in Breckenridge; they are using motion-activated lights, re-useable bags, solar panels, LED lights, and an energy efficient kitchen to reduce their impact on the mountain climate. There is absolutely no smoking here, as the hotel is in a historic building!
This bed and breakfast is for you if you are looking to feel at home with old friends.

Loved it. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out (having lingered for as long as possible) we felt like we were staying with close family or friends.
Shoes off when you walk in. Rooms up the stairs, dining and living down the stairs. Not huge. Cozy and very very tastefully decorated.
We loved the location too. Abbett is located on French street, which is just a hop, skip and a jump from main street, but well away from all of the high rises and new development. At the Abbett you can have your cake and eat it too. Super quiet part of town, unless you feel like walking for three minutes.
The hospitality is second to none. We really enjoyed the hosts, and in particular their dog "Buddy," who puts most concierges I've met to shame. Highly recommend if bed and breakfasts are your thing. If not, we recommend you at least give it a try.Recommended for:
