The rooms are large and pleasantly decorated and the hotel is full of interesting features with all its art and modern decor. Its good to be in an area that isn't the classic old Rome you see in the tourist books and its good to explore the lesser known areas of the city. Stations and busses are all close, so it’s no problem getting around and there are quite a few nice places to eat nearby, including the restaurant which is part of the hotel, good value for money. It’s a great hotel, especially if you have an internal room with its own little outside space.Recommended for:

What a wonderful place! It’s so inspiring to be surrounded by tasteful art. All very beautifully furnished, it’s like living in a gallery! Exhibitions change every two months and you can choose a themed suite so as to sleep in a painting. You can even choose a room with a cosy bathtub. There is a lovely, affordable restaurant with a young and enthusiastic chef, it seems very popular so it’s best to book in advance - they regularly change the menu serving seasonal food. The area of Rome is more industrial, but only 20 minutes walk to the colosseum. It’s close to various stations - the train from Ostiense will take you straight to Fiumicino airpot and from Piramide you can take the metro to Termini, not to mention the little train that will take you to the seaside at Ostia.Recommended for:

I love this hotel! The weird art, the eclectic design and the fun staff make for a great establishment. The hotel is not your typical tourist fare, for sure. The hotel is located along Via Ostiense in what was once considered the "popolare" section of the city (where all the working class people lived). The area is certainly up and coming. There are cafes and restaurants all around. Check out the restaurant, Novecento, which is a short walk towards Piramide. Or grab the metro to other parts of the city. The staff are amazingly friendly, too, and always willing to help out and answer questions. It's a fun hotel where you can get the off the wall beat without having to pay through the nose for it.Recommended for:

Too funny! It's like being in a art museum without the coldness of a museum and with more colors and smart people. Even business man with their laptop in the hall don't seem so boring here.
