Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles

929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, California
5 reviews

I'm an Ace man, through and through. Whether I'm in New York, Portland, Palm Springs or LA, I'll be checking into the Ace. And if not for a stay at the hotel, then at least for some Stumptown coffee and some laptop time in one of the chain's epic semi-public workspaces. The LA Ace is no exception to the rule. ...

    Golden Gopher

0.21 mi from Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles
    6 reviews

The Golden Gopher has a laid back speak-easy-ish feel that is typical of many downtown bars that popped up a few years back. It's not in the middle of a high traffic area, so it doesn't see as much of the crowds that other bars do. Good for groups... good drinks! They also have one of those old school Pac-Man ...

Quick fashion at disposable prices! There are some really good fashion finds within the garment/fashion district but it all depends on luck, patience, and timing. Whenever I am in the area with my value conscious girlfriends, we always make this a must stop for us. Always on look on for good deals!

Came here for an event and the ordered several of every taco on the menu. They home make their tortilla which is amazing. However, overall the tacos were a bit dry. The watermelon mint agua fresca was perfect for the hot weather, but also a bit sweet for my taste buds.

    Orpheum Theatre

0.09 mi from Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles
    3 reviews

Located in downtown Los Angeles, built in 1926, the Orpheum continues to be an active theater. Not quite as opulent as Hollywood's Pantgages Theater and slightly less cared for, it is nevertheless well worth attending one of its shows. Its history of featured performers includes Sarah Bernhardt, Eddie Cantor, Sophie Tucker, Will Rogers, Lena Horne, Bob Hope and Jack Benny.

This building opened in 1914 and was designed by California's first registered female architect. Its impressive facade befits a William Randolph Hearst publication.
