I did my fair share of couch surfing and curling up on an air mattress on the living room floor in my 20's while in New York, but as a 30-year-old (!!!), it's all Ace Hotel all the time for me. When I'm just in town for an afternoon, I still end up here, working from the lobby while I kick back Stumptown coffee. I've held dozens of business meetings and meet-ups in the Ace lobby, and met some of the most interesting folks in town. Everyone at the Ace is there plugging away at their start-up or blog, and what's more, they're actually down to tell you about it at the shared tables.

I LOVE the Ace Hotel. I spent the day at a music conference being held there and felt immersed in a culture of creativity from the people I meet there to the hotel's clever hipster decor. There were so many people there working on their lap tops in the lobby. With Stumptown Coffee in the lobby it's a remote workers paradise.

Hipster Cool! That is the best way to describe the Ace Hotel. This midtown hotel is full of hipsters hanging out at the bar or in the lobby.
The Breslin Restaurant is known for its exceptional Lamb Burger, is trendy and I would suggest reservations well in advance. The atmosphere is electric!

**ONE STOP SHOP OF FUNKY SEATTLE COOLNESS**

From the coffee bar to the restaurant, to the bar, and back to the hotel (love N2Deep), what a major convenience!

STAFF gets much love! Shiny happy people.

Love the full-bearded men at the Ace. So Paul Bunyan cool.

Think Restoration Hardware meets Run DMC when you enter your hotel room. Large King room was nice and spacious (NY standards).

Bed was excellent. Comfortable as hell. Body pillows and clean crisp sheets met my high standards.

Bathroom was better. Waterfall showerhead, big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; all appreciated here!

    No attitude here. All smiles.

Top notch maid service. Room is always crispy clean.

Love this Hotel and will return.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND for the cool cats who appreciate cleanliness, simplicity, with a splash of funk in their room.

P.S. If you're a hipster hater, you don't belong here. Go away with your one star reviews.

If you can forgive this being the watering hole of choice for @NYdigerati (look out for the pointy beards and comedy glasses). However, it's some of the rooms I want to rave about. I get fed up with the claustrophobic size of so many Manhattan hotel rooms: so small you often have to climb over the bed to cross from one side to the other, or turn sideways in the small space which has been generously provided. Not so the loft rooms at the Ace: 700 sq feet with a proper bathroom and a freestanding bath. The Smeg fridges are a nice touch too. Ask for one of the suites with the view of the Empire State.

I practically work remotely from the Ace Hotel... it is a cutting edge Ace Hotel which attracts the trendier, more tech-advanced, and social crowd. A perfect spot to nosh and have a business meeting, or grab a drink with a laid-back coworker.

I totally dug the vibe of the Ace Hotel. From the glass cabinet of taxidermy to the wallpaper of graffiti, to the animal throws on suede couches to the vintage photobooth in the lobby, it oozes hipster cool, so if you're not down with that, check in elsewhere.

Ace has a collective of hot spots connected to it: Stumptown Coffee Roasters for kick-ass Seattle coffee, The Breslin for craft cocktails and the best damn lamb burger in town and hip boutique Opening Ceremony... this is a destination spot for both visitors and locals alike. Then, you've got a nightclub/lounge down in the basement near the hotel gym called Liberty Hall, where we got to see Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest DJ and Queen Latifah and her posse take over our table.

The rooms are awesome. We stayed in a medium king, and it was very spacious with kitschy accessories (some rooms have a guitar, turntables and a Smeg fridge) and vintage decor. The bed was HUGE and incredibly comfortable. It could easily sleep four people! The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower with rainfall shower heads, two-flush Euro toilets and full sized Rudy's toiletries (which were mounted a bit too high for shorties like me). We had a window that looked out to the backyard, and while we slept with the window cracked just a tiny bit, it was still very quiet. The mini bar is fully stocked with things like mini Don Julio, Miller Life and a full sized bottle of Champagne, and you can snack on Korean ramen and Pocky.

The staff are all very friendly (and uber hipster, of course) - I was able to check in super early at 7:30am after getting in from my red eye flight. Housekeeping kept our room nice and tidy.

Rates are very reasonable, especially for all the amenities you get.

I've never had the pleasure of staying in the Ace Hotel but a friend of mine regularly does so I've spent plenty of time enjoying it. It's deliciously offbeat and attracts a younger more trendy crowd. I've never seen the lobby empty and the rooms have a fantastic aesthetic to each one. The restaurant was a great place to eat although I have to admit I didn't know what most of the items on the menu were.

The Ace Hotel is hipster chic--really cool aesthetic. Maybe a little TOO cool if you know what I mean. But regardless a very fun space and I’m sure a great place to stay.

Ace Hotel is a very trendy hotel in New York City. They have a fun lounge with free wi-fi and live shows. It's very popular though, there's always plenty of people bustling in and out.

Small rooms but exceptionally well designed -- there's definitely the hipster vibe (read: Steampunk attire, warbly music and the minibar stocked with ramen and Japanese snacks) - but everything has it's place, it's clean, good value if you can find it and a killer Stumptown coffee outlet attached to the hotel. The lobby turns from a tech workplace by day to a scene full of well heeled / plasticy New Yorkers by night. It's the new watering hold for the creative class in NY.

Since I live in NYC I've never stayed here...but I love the lobby here. One of my favorite places to grab a cup of coffee and either chill out or work in between meetings. It has a cool bar and a great restaurant...the Breslin room. Also has a cool shop Opening Ceremony. Very cool spot and great people watching. Actually did I mention the Coffee Bar is Stumpton's:)

I really like the ACE hotel and their lobby is designed for people who want to work in an awesome environment, surrounded by like-minded people. The Breslin at ACE is a great restaurant and the hotel's boutique is pretty great too. I had a meeting in one of the suites at ACE a couple of weeks ago and I was seriously impressed with the space itself and with the overall vibe and personality of the suite and of the entire ACE hotel empire.
One point off for mediocre service the last time I visited.

Small rooms are small, but hey go outside and explore NYC. It's great to have The Breslin, Stumptown, and John Dory on the first floor. More to come

Such a beautiful bar! I'd been planning to check out the Ace Hotel with a friend for a while, and we finally stopped by. I am so glad we did! At 10 PM on a Saturday, it was a little difficult to find 2 seats, but we eventually found some. It took some time to get the waitress' attention as well, but we eventually ordered our cocktails, which were delicious and well made.

The highlight of the bar for me, however, was the music. DJ Huggybear was spinning, and I've been a fan since I heard him at The Tippler, so I was psyched to find him again at the Ace! All in all, a nice, classy spot to impress a date or catch up with a friend or two.

Keep in mind - past 11 PM or so, it becomes harder to get in & there tends to be a line outside. Just sayin'!

More than a hotel. The Ace is hub of travellers, of coffee connoisseurs, of entrepreneurs, of those breaking away from the norm of chain x. What it lacks in frills it makes up for in flair and individualism. You won't be bored.
