We just returned from a trip to Kenya. We were working there and ended the trip with a visit to Masai Mara. Our trip was planned by Africa Budget Tour and they went out of their way to do an outstanding job. We stayed in Mara Sopa and the accommodations and the food were all world-class. At one point the chef found out I was gluten sensitive and went out of his way every day to come up with gluten free options, the people were so kind at Mara sopa. Our guide for the wildlife expeditions, Chris also arranged by Africa Budget Tour was incredibly knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife. We also felt very safe the entire time. And because of the recent media about Kenya, there aren't that many tourists there, so it's a perfect time to visit Masai Mara I recommend Africa Budget Tour for your safari in Kenya

I loved Africa so much that, on my third visit there, I ended up staying. It became my home for nearly five years and I saw 27 of its countries. There is something special and addictive about the place. It is the ultimate for wildlife enthusiasts and culture vultures are likely to suffer the effects of an overdose of tribal awesomeness. It is a varied continent, far from homogenous. You can experience it in so many different ways - from luxury safaris to adventurous expeditions. Research what it is you want to experience in Africa before you go booking any trip - what animals you want to see or what traditions, festivals, etc, you expect to see- otherwise you might end up thousands of kilometers from your African dream. Some countries can be quite tricky or even dangerous to navigate on your own. Others are perfect for independent travel. Again, research and advice are essential.

Description

From hiking the snow-covered peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro to viewing the wildebeest migration from a hot air balloon over the Serengeti, Africa has defined adventure travel for generations. However, Africa is home to 53 diverse countries, the most nations on any continent, and the images of the classic safari represent only a portion of the vast range of experiences. From the pyramids and cradle of civilization that make up Egypt to the penguins and wine regions of South Africa, Africa encompasses a vast swath of new places to explore. Most people come to Africa for the wildlife and nature, but inevitably fall in love with its people and cultures. From dancing the traditional Sabar in Senegal to learning about the scholarly traditions of Mali, Africa promises to enlighten and enthrall visitors.
