Thia place falls easily into the overrated category. Its fame is derived from a time long ago when they served game meat, and now is a place where tour buses arrive, and showmanship has eclipsed the quality of the food. The service is friendly, and the meat is decent, but it just feels too much like a theme park now. ...

    Abu el Sid

This was the place which kicked off the whole trend for Egyptian restaurants in Cairo - before it opened Caireans tended to eat Italian or French when going out for a meal. The original branch is in the European-influenced Zamalek district, which is well worth exploring before or after lunch for some fine examples of art deco architecture. The restaurant ...

    Ali Barbours Cave Restaurant

All I can say is WOW! The food is great, the location is great, the price is great! We had a three course meal, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, and cocktails for less than £60 for both of us! Wish I could go back every week!

I can honestly say this was one of the top 5 meals I've had in my life. The South Africa wine country is producing not only some of the best wines in the world, but it's a gastronomic heaven.

This is one of the coolest places to go in JNB for a meal. An old converted factory complex that now has some great restaurants. Go for jazz on a Sunday afternoon in the courtyard!

    Brass Bell

I grew up in the area, and the Brass Bell was always a favourite place to go for the locals. I returned to Cape Town a few months ago, and the Brass Bell was the first place we went. The food is not only as amazing as ever, at low prices (seafood is freshly caught every day!), but they've expanded ...

    Lagon 1

Nautical themed restaurant on the beach front, situated just a few feet away from the waves crashing onto the shore. As a vegetarian who doesn't eat fish, I was a little concerned that the menu did not feature any suitable options. However, the chef kindly cooked me a delicious fresh pasta dish. Would definitely recommend.

The Cafe is not that great, but it's all you have at the top of Table Mountain. It's decent enough and gets the job done if you need some food or something to drink.
