    The Passing Show Restaurant

    2 reviews

Every time I am in Zanzibar, this is my first stop after dropping off my luggage at the hotel. I usually find myself there for lunch every day I'm in Stone Town. They serve tasty, authentic local fare and fresh juices. I highly recommend a plate of beef biryani along with a glass of tamarind juice. Their house-made chili sauce ...

    Sqala Cafe Le Maure

    2 reviews

I wish I'd gone back and eaten dinner here, after my truly fantabulous lunch. This was possibly the best meal I had on that trip to Morocco, and made my whole Casablanca stay very worthwhile. Unlike most Moroccan menus, which have the same five items, Sqala offers all kinds of fascinating dishes you don't see outside of people's homes, and ...

    Wonderbake Bakery

Some of the best coffee I have ever tasted and truly Zambian not to mention the cream doughnuts and the ice cream cones. Recommend you pay Wonderbake a visit.

Thia place falls easily into the overrated category. Its fame is derived from a time long ago when they served game meat, and now is a place where tour buses arrive, and showmanship has eclipsed the quality of the food. The service is friendly, and the meat is decent, but it just feels too much like a theme park now. ...

    Abu el Sid

Incredibly atmospheric bohemian Egyptian restaurant. Supposedly loved by Omar Sharif. Definitely upscale but drips with atmosphere. The food could be a little better but is still quite good. Reservations a must. Be sure to take a map. A little hard to find the door but once you see it, it is pretty obvious.

    Sevruga Restaurant

    6 reviews

I was a little nervous entering Sevruga. The V&A Waterfront restaurant is huge, and the larges menu is all over the place--sushi, Asian tapas, classic seafood, etc. But the seafood is perfectly prepared and the service is phenomenal. A notch above many of the waterfront restaurants.

    Koshary Abou Tarek

Must visit and try that food. Hygiene and interior (as well as exterior) could be better, but koshary are very tasty and unusual for European traveler. The prices are very cheap and service is quick.

    Ali Barbours Cave Restaurant

    4 reviews

This is my vote for the one thing you must do if you go to Diani, but make reservations at least the night before because the venue is small and the word is already out on this place. It is set underground in a cave made of limestone and petrified corals. It is illuminated with a candle lite glow, and ...

    Terroir Restaurant

    4 reviews

Excellent food in an intimate atmosphere. The wine was superb as well. After a weekend of wine tasting in Stellenbosch, this was the perfect restaurant to sit back and enjoy a last evening with good friends over a fine meal.

an outdoor venue by the nile river in Zamalek. there are more than 30 flavors of Shisha (including cappuccino) there and the food is good. Go for the Hawawshi a fatty meat pie that is full of flavors.

Pretty good food, especially the spread of dips with pita. Nice atmosphere for lounging around for a bit.

    Table Mountain Cafe

Decidedly overpriced for what's on offer. Agree with other reviewers. Take a bottle of water or snack and go somewhere else afterwards.

    Nobu Cape Town

    3 reviews

17/20; Food 9/10, Ambience 4/5, Service 4/5. Located in the One&Only hotel, the recent opening of the windows allowing fleeting glimpses of Table Mountain outside. Cavernous quadruple-height room lends much drama to the space. Not that any is needed with fish this fresh being prepared in inimitable Nobu style. Fabulous - easily one of the top 5 places to eat ...
