Let's keep this short and sweet: as the home of India's most famous tourist attraction, Agra has an unusually high share -- even for India -- of touts and hassle. That said, it's not like you're going to skip the Taj (nor should you!) and the Agra Fort is similarly spectacular, making this sometimes frustrating city a must. For best results, day-trip here and stay in the much quieter and quite lovely town of Fatehpur Sikri nearby.

I went to Agra for one reason and one reason only - The Taj Mahal! It was well worth the trip. This amazing piece of Muslim art in India is simply unbelievable. We spent nearly three hours at the Taj taking hundreds of photos from as many angles as possible. We easily could have stayed there all day. We later visited a famous fort not too far away, but it just wasn't as memorable. That said, the Taj makes Agra worth the visit - if not India itself!

Make memorial Agra Tours
2 night 3 day travelling from delhi to agra was a wonderful tour includes Red Fort at Agra, built by Emperor Akbar on the banks of the River Yamuna, Sikandra and Itmad-ud-Dau, meena bazaar etc.
Giving a perfect knowledge of Mughal architecture art. Taj Mahal was center of attraction and symbol of true love.
Everyone should visit at least once in life to be witness of such a beautiful creation.

Love this city - besides visiting the Taj, you can explore the city and do some antique or carpet shopping. I just wished I had more time to explore the city and all the unique, heritage hotels in this area.

OK, I admit I don't love Agra as a city. It is crazy, crowded, and has lots of aggressive touts vying for your business. That said, there is the Taj Mahal. And that, my friend, makes all the difference.

Beautiful city, not just for historical reasons but overall as well, compared to other cities in Uttar Pradesh (U.P.). All the modern facilities and amenities are easily accessible. Lots of restaurant and bar-be-que, in every budget. Don't forget Street Food, that's where you will find real taste of India, but do get some local guidance. For staying, hotels are either very good (mostly 4/5 star) or not at all, hard to find a good hotel in budget and 3star category. Public transport could be better, but for tourist, taxi hire is better option, easily available and reasonable price.
Agra tries to comprehend with it's heritage, by providing some Mughal Architecture touch or in some case just a glimpse of it, in its modern constructions.
