The campground here is pretty nice with electric plugs and nice showers, though not the comfiest place to pitch a tent. They don't want you pitching them on the lawn so you have to put them up on the rocky ground. Perhaps this is so - once you're back is so sore from sleeping - you'll enjoy the hot springs and their healing properties more (included in your stay). One of my favorite things about the resort is actually the nearby rock formation you can climb. There's a sign-in sheet to record your accomplishment at the top and you'll get some pretty awesome views up there. There's also a lot of small but interesting wildlife lurking around the resort.

This recently remodeled resort and campground offers exactly what the traveler needs when the long and hot, dusty day at Fish River Canyon turns into a cool and starry night. “Ai-Ais” means burning water in the local lingo; you’ll find two gigantic, naturally heated and spring fed pools (one indoor, one outdoor)here. Other amenities include rooms with either river or mountain views, a new restaurant, bar, well equipped campground with power hookup and multiple ablution blocks. The resort is located within the Ai-Ais/ Richtersveld transfrontier park on the border of Namibia and South Africa.
