Bungy jumping has become synonymous with New Zealand. The idea of leaping off a bridge with a rubber band attached to your ankles may be terrifying to some but for those up for it, it's a great ride! These guys invented bungy and they have a perfect safety record - if you're going to take the leap, this is the place to do it.

I did the Nevis jump! It's sooo long and it feels like you're falling and falling. When is it going to end? Biggest adrenaline rush of my life and so worth it! You must do an AJ Hackett Bungy while in your in Queenstown. It's kind of pricey so make sure you set aside some money before you arrive there!

I did the Kawarau Bridge jump, the original commercial bungy jump. I was meant to do the Nevis but looked up pictures on line and sort of chickened out. But I still jumped off a bridge. It was incredibly thrilling and I absolutely loved it, even if it was terrifying.

AJ Hackett is the creator and leader of bungee jumps. They have an outstanding outpost in Queenstown with 3 different bungee options available. I did the highest bungee which is located in the middle of a canyon over the river. The staff makes you feel extremely comfortable and tries to put you at ease. You are bound to meet some really interesting people and bond over the experience. We ended up hanging out with a bunch of our fellow jumpers the whole night. The thrill was outstanding and worth the price!
