The site of Summer Solstice celebrations each year, Alameda Park is always a great place to get some fresh air. If you are traveling with kids, the playground is legendary.Recommended for:

A great open space in downtown Santa Barbara. There's plenty of room for lots of people, there's a playground, it's close to restaurants, shops, parking, bus stops. Throughout the spring/summer there are several festivals that occur within the park or close by.

One of City's oldest parks, this two-block park features unique rare trees, a gazebo, and is the home of Kids' World, an 8,000 square foot playground built by local residents containing a castle, swings and slides. Reservable children's party and picnic sites. There are some amazing old trees located in and around the park. Kids growing up around here are so lucky. This is playground in this park is SWEET! It's a huge area with so many things to climb on and under just perfect. I couldn't resit it and I had to play on it, swinging from the hanging rings like a monkey. Then as if that park wasn't cool enough there is a whale and shark chilling, great picture taking spot (I hugged the whale). The rest of the grassy park is shaded by trees, the coolest ones are the large Moreton Bay Fig trees that have twisted roots and stretching branches begging to be climbed on.Recommended for:
