Albergo Firenze is a perfectly reasonable two-star hotel. Actually, it's pretty darn good for the price. The room I was in was simple and clean. The included breakfast is generous and the breakfast room has a mural of Florence painted on the wall, lending the whole experience a sweet european cafe feeling. The lobby is not exactly anywhere I would want to hang out, but totally fine and the real motivation to stay in this location is for the location! Right in the middle of everything, you step out of the super cute alleyway entrance to the hotel and you are smack in the middle of action and moments from the Duomo. There's free wifi and a couple of computers available in the lobby (you pay by the half hour to use those). One touch that I appreciated for the practicality of it (more than the aesthetic) was that there is a giant bank of beverages for sale in the lobby, so on your way out or the moment you return you can be sure to be hydrated! Keeping this one element taken care of seriously improved my time in Florence.Recommended for:

This no frills hotel is in an absolutely great location in the heart of central Florence, just around the corner from Dante's House museum. Desk staff will recommend restaurants and make reservations. Ask for a quiet room on the courtyard.Recommended for:

Sitting just a few meters off of Via Corso, a busy and popular pedestrian-only street, Albergo Firenze mostly satisfies the no-frills traveler who prefers to save their money for all the abundant local delicacies just outside the door. The room was plain, without any view to speak of, the furniture was cheap, but sufficient, and the floor was tiled everywhere, which made everything feel somewhat cold and hard. There isn't really a great common space to sit and relax with your friends here. Even the elevator felt too small to manage comfortably for two people with bags. There was a computer available for guests to use, but you have to pay to use the internet. The staff was sufficiently efficient, if not exactly friendly. All in all, the main appeal to stay here is the location and the price, so if you want to save your pennies for the real goodies of Florence, you know what to do.

It was very quaint. The air conditioning never worked but thats what you get when you go to europe. They serve croissants for breakfast with coffee. Their location is amazing. I would recommend this place for people on a tight budget who just want to explore Florence
