The best thing about this hostel is the friendly staff. The place is not exceptional, but it isn't horrible either. It is what you would expect from a hostel. The location is the best feature being only a few blocks from Termini station. If your goal is to see more of the city than your room, then this hostel is ideal. The neighborhood isn't the best, but it just gives you more of an excuse to see more of what Rome has to offer.

Alessandro Downtown Hostel is very well located, everything is within a walking distance: 20 minutes to the Colosseo, half an hour to the city center and 2 minutes to Termini station. Rooms are not so clean and they have lockers for each person but without padlock, so you have to bring your own or pay 5 euros to buy it directly in the hostel. There are private bathroom and shared bathroom. Breakfast is not included. Wifi connection has signal only in the common area, not in rooms but there is also an internet point on the first floor for 1 euro. The hostel has a laudry and two spacious dining rooms. Staff is friendly enough and available. They offer sangria three times a week to all guests. There's no private parking. The area is not qiuet at night and not even so safe to take a walk.

This hostel it’s pretty nice, with an international style and well equipped. For younger costumers this solution is quite interesting since the prices are very cheap. There are rooms for six people, spacious and colored. All rooms have an electronic key. There is a bathroom for each bedroom. Most of the whole hostel is very clean! The kitchen is useful and well equipped, can be used by all the customers. The wifi is free and fast! The location is positive and negative at the same time: termini station is near but it’s not a nice area to be around in the late evening. Anyway the security system of the hostel is efficient. I recommend this hostel to young travelers that can live the international atmosphere and don’t needs luxury service for enjoy their stay.

Pretty good for a large sized hostel. One major plus is the vicinity from the train station. Only about a 3 minute walk.

Stayed here for 4 nights in 6beds room. The facilities are good, I didn't like boring breakfast but it's free. :)

Great hostel. Very clean, friendly staff, but not so cheap as the others around the train station.
