It is hard not to feel like royalty when you stay here, especially after seeing photos in the lobby area of the late Princess Diana on her stay here several years ago. The hotel has recently gone through some substantial renovations that have helped modernize the facilities, while maintaining the historical character of the hotel. The hotel itself is an iconic building in Sevilla that holds historic significance. The reception and lobby area is extremely elegant and stately. The hotel has grand staircases that lead to the hotel floors along with antique elevators. My suite was incredible and I felt so fortunate to have such an elegant, large place all to myself. I loved how masculine the room was and really loved the crystal chandeliers and black and white photographs on the walls. The pool area is also really nice- probably the best pool in the city. They also have a nice, modern workout facility. I also really liked the staff and felt they were really professional and warm. Definitely a hotel worthy of treating yourself by staying here. Truly excellent!

Alfonso XIII Hotel has a perfect location – right in the center of Seville, minutes away from some major attractions. The building looks like a palace from outside and it looks like a palace inside as well. The moment you walk into the lobby from the street you can’t help but to exclaim “Wow!” You are surrounded by lavish decorations, elegant furniture, beautiful marble and art works. Most of all, I liked the intricate ceramic tiles on the walls. People walking around are nicely dressed – we almost felt like we didn’t belong there when we walked in in our casual travel clothes. But the staff is very friendly and courteous, make you feel welcomed. There is a beautiful inside courtyard where they serve breakfast. We enjoyed our cocktails and snacks in adjacent bar before going out at night. Our room was fairly spacious, decorated in Castilian style. The walls were covered with beautiful silk wallpaper – it added to luxurious feel of this place. Being an SPG member, we got a special treat – a bottle of Cava on ice and some appetizers were waiting for us when we entered our room. We stayed at this hotel in 2003 - and we still talk about our memorable stay at this astoundingly beautiful, luxurious hotel.Recommended for

I only walked through the hotel but it is beautiful! It would be a wonderful place for a wedding or honeymoon or weekend getaway. Staff are nice and helpful. The decor is of Roman and Islamic designs. There is a nice courtyard restaurant in the center with standard hotel prices on meals. Not too far inside is a bar with stools as well as booths for a little intimate hang out. Very nice and upscale!Recommended for

In 2000 my fiance and I flew to Madrid, leased a car, and drove to Sevilla to get married. While there, we stayed at the Alfonso XIII Hotel. We loved this five star hotel, and appreciated the thoughtfulnes of the hotel staff(they left us a bottle of Champayne) when they learned that we were trying to get married in Sevilla.
