One of the best views of the city, this sprawling Seattle beach is wonderful for photos, a run or a great meal.
Plenty of choices for something to eat from cheap fish and chips at Ma Kai to fine dining at Salty's all with stunning views of the city skyline or the olympic mountains.

Seattle's beaches are very different than most along the coast. Much rockier, windier and colder most of the year but a favorite nonetheless!
Growing up on the beaches in Washington, I loved looking for anemone in tide pools which appear along many of our great beaches. We would wade in the water while looking for unique shells and rocks, fly kites, eat picnic lunches, build forts out of driftwood and play in the sand.
This is a great family day trip for both locals and visitors alike if you plan it out. Bring a picnic lunch and plenty of kites, sand buckets and towels and definitely don't forget the camera!Recommended for:Family Travelers

Really one of the nicest spots in the world with the view of the Cascades mountains, MT. Baker, Mt Rainer, Olympic range. There is a great chance of seeing a Gray Whale, sea lions, harbor seals, eagles, osprey, Orca and salmon. Very majestic.
