First, the bad news/words of warning: you need to be in good shape and very mobile to really enjoy the Amalfi Coast. Now onto the rest; jaw-dropping scenery, great food, and lovely southern Italian hospitality.
Definitely need to's: walk the Path of the Gods from Praiano to near Positano, eat at Da Adolfo, and rent a boat for 1/2 day (approx €150) to explore the coastline views and visit great restaurants nestled into coves, only reachable by boat. Can skip: Positano - totally over run with tourists. Best to just gaze at its beauty from the water during your private boat trip. Lastly, do yourself a favor and don't compare the food to New York/London 5-star Italian places - the pasta won't stack up; appreciate what it does have, which is high quality, simply prepared, fresh seafood.

Amazing place and amazing people!
They say...Italian men are the 2nd sexiest men...Turkish men being the sexiest...of course the "they" that said that is my Turkish friend Erim!
Met an Italian actor shooting a movie whiledrivingdown this coast and it was simply the most fun time!

Wow!! If you dream of Italy and romance then this is it.
If you are going to drive or take a bus from Sorrento to Almalfi Coast take great care. The roads are one and a half lanes and you will not believe how fast they drive.
Take a boat and sail along the coast it is beautiful from the sea and you will enjoy every second.

Cinque Terre is as beautiful as Amalfi Coast but you have to drive south. Amalfi, Positano, Ravello are great places to visit. Very colorful houses cling to the cliffsides. Views are breathtaking. The Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Roads are narrow and winding along Italian shoreline so difficult to drive if you rent a big car.

Amalfi Coast is great. Riding on the bus is a fun experience as you are winding along the coast looking over a cliff. It's exhilirating. My favorite town along the coast is Positano. There is a little spot on the beach that makes the best carbonara. You can take a boat to Capri from Positano too. It's a beautiful, quaint place!

My favorite blue water has yet to be decided between Mediterranean best BLUE's... Amalfi's Coastal Roll vs. the Grecian Gold that you may never find but bury your face in sand mistaking it everyday. Back to Amalfi, from Sorrento to L'Antica Pizzeria in Naple's... The drive is wild, the beaches will simply take your breathe away, and note that lemons are the size of a melon (that smell amazing)!
