Great place to watch a movie, as the theater is very large and spacious. They have a lot of large theaters to watch the latest blockbuster. As parking is super hard on Van Ness, you can park in the parking lot and get validation if you go watch a movie at AMC 14.

The best movie theater in SF. They have every show and multiple show times. My only complaint is that its REALLY expensive. Parking is around 10$ tickets are 12-18 depending on 3D and I wont even go into the snack (i sneak snack in because its way to expensive). Besides the price, the seats are very comfy and the quality has always been A+

I cut out of school early to watch Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones in 2002. Stood in line for hours, already having had advanced tickets. Turned out, they changed the auditorium, and I went to the wrong one. This threw me off and cost me my choice seats.

The location for AMC Theatres Van Ness 14 is convenient, and the archaic architecture adds a charm that more modern theaters can't provide. It's peaceful and the view of the city at night is quite pretty... so very pretty.
Staff are friendly and there is parking available. Several MUNI lines can get you here fairly quickly, though it's not as convenient for most people as the theatre options downtown.

I went here for some screener that I can't remember many moons ago....I recall tripping out at how many floors there were and at all the escalators. Reminded me of a scene from blade runner for some reason. I digress, but isn't this a case of you've been to one, you've been to them all type of places? Don't get me wrong...there are exceptions to this rule. *coughIMAXcoug*
I mean to say, barring the really painful parking structure, number of pedestrians in the way, and heavy traffic area. This movie theater delivered what it promised....a movie and all the trappings of a movie house one would expect: the sound, feel, and taste of a movie house. Don't ask me about that last one.
