One of the best wine bars in San Francisco. Plenty of glasses below $8. Huge pours and a great happy hour.
This place tends to get a bit crowded, so you'll want to come early or during off hours. It's no surprise, really, because it's a great place to lounge with friends or a date!

Friendly service. Cozy Atmosphere. Awesome wine selection. They also present tapas/cheese plates/chacuterie offerings that pair really well with their wines. Prices are quite reasonable. Especially during their happy hour, they have a $10/3 flights special. They are opened til late, cheeses are served even after the kitchen closes. (When I meant late in SF term means around midnight on weekends)

Once my favorite neighborhood wine bar for its delectable wines, generous pours, and Friday happy hour wine flights. In spite of the crowded atmosphere, the food is excellent. Some restaurants chalk up their charcuterie & cheese plates; at Amelie, it's truly delicious. Classic French moment? The French bartender, tall & handsome, leaves his workplace with a roll tucked into his carryall. The wine named after the proprietor's daughter, Amelie, is wonderful. I'm friendly with one of the bartenders and his wife, and there are no pretenses at this wine bar. My favorite time to come is Friday for happy hour when the sunlight hovers and the crowds have not yet arrived.
