My favorite place in the world to shop for music and movies! They pretty much tackle every genre and sub category you can think of. I love wandering the aisles when I'm here and seeing what new music I discover. I always come out with an album by someone I've never heard of before.

This is the place if you have an eclectic taste in music. You name it, they've got it. They even have different media such as cassettes, 8-track and LP. There is also a decent DVD selection.

They will also buy used music and movies.

    Description:

The largest store in the independent Amoeba chain, Amoeba Records in Los Angeles features a jazz room and two shopping floors packed with enough music to keep you busy for days. This store, which takes up a full city block, provides much more than just a vast range of pop, rap, Latin and other CDs, though. The host of special performances by internationally renowned artists, such as Elvis Costello, Nancy Sinatra and the Flaming Lips, Amoeba Records periodically features live music events.
