    Disney's Grand Californian Hotel

    Disney's Grand Californian Hotel

    Class:
    4.5
    18 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

Exceptional, friendly, Disney service in addition to some luxurious charm. The rooms are not nearly as substantial as I imagined them to be, especially for the price you are paying, but then again, you really shouldn't be spending your time sitting in your room.

There is a reason Disneyland is called "The Happiest Place On Earth". For such a tourist trap the service is good. The rooms well appointed and perfect for families. Plus when you stay at this hotel you can easily board the monorail for direct access into the park. I dont have children but would absolutely reccomend this hotel to my ...

I am a Hilton HHonors member, so like to stay at Hiltons to keep my status. This also helps with the stay since you get the lounge as well. The remodel is great. But there can be a lot of convention, groups, etc. But I am usually staying here for a convention ... so I am one of them. Nice ...

It was just OK. The service was friendly and there was nothing wrong really, the place just seemed dated, the amenities low quality and the pool overly crowded. I should have taken my friend's advice and stayed at the Grand Californian, which is pricier but nicer.

A nice hotel within walking distance to Disneyland, Downtown Disney and California Adventure parks. So many of the hotels in the area are ancient yet I find this hotel typically offers a good value. Staff are busy yet helpful. I appreciate the room service for breakfast. There is a small market off the lobby too. Parking can be a challenge ...

I read the reviews before staying here, and was a bit worried. But got to the hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The room was smaller than some, but well done. They upgraded the rooms this past weekend to the newer one cup coffee machines. And the condition of the room, carpeting, and service was great. I also had the experience ...

We've stayed at the HoJo a few times and just love it. It's a 10 minute walk to the entrance of Disney. It has a small water park for the kids and a separate pool. However, the rooms are very basic, but they are clean. No complaints!

The Ayres was a welcome retreat after a long trip in the 5:00 commute from San Diego. My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and 24-hour Disneyland, and decided to splurge. We didn't even have to splurge financially, since this place was such a great deal - and yet a hundred times better than any of the ...

A simple motel that's been a reliable deal for decades, the Candy Cane Inn is within easy walking distance of Disneyland. Another family-friendly hotel complex (or is it more of a motel? sometimes it's hard to tell...) in Anaheim, just outside the main gates of the Mouse House. The Desert Palms was a pleasant surprise: though it strongly reminded me of a cheap desert casino in Laughlin or Vegas, it was warm, welcoming, and comfortable. This place is like a resort at hotel prices. The two pools, two spas, nice rooms, and professional service are things I associate with nicer hotels. Anaheim Hotel Insider
When you hear Anaheim, it’s hard not to think of Disneyland. And while it’s true that Walt’s little park is far and away the top attraction in this Southern California city, there are many other things to do and see beyond the castle walls. The second-largest city in Orange County, Anaheim is packed to the brim with endless vacation possibilities and classic family fun. Sports fanatics will definitely want to stop at Anaheim’s world famous Angel Stadium, as the city is also known as an exciting venue for major league baseball and hockey teams. With Disneyland, its sports scene, and the largest convention center on the West Coast constantly drawing in visitors, Anaheim presents a wide variety of restaurants to try throughout your stay. You will, of course, also find a very accommodating hospitality industry here. It probably comes as no surprise that some of the top hotels in Anaheim are Disney hotels. There are also many other offerings to choose from, whether you’re seeking to pinch a penny or indulge in a great escape. Nearly every hotel offers a nice pool to enjoy the warm California weather, and Anaheim has excellent accommodations for families and small children. Make sure you choose a location that is central to all of Anaheim’s fun destinations, and you will surely have an excellent stay.

Things to Do in Anaheim
You can’t miss Disneyland, and we’re sure it’s already at the top of your list. The Happiest Place on Earth is an all around amazing experience for the young and the young at heart. Disney’s newest park, Disney’s California Adventure, can also be found in Anaheim. Perhaps most notably, it features a brand new expansive Radiator Springs attraction based on the movie Cars, as well as many new rides to explore. You definitely won’t want to miss Disney’s World of Color, which is considered one of the best water shows in the world. Also in the Disney realm, you should also take a peek at Downtown Disney for some shopping, food, and family fun. In the center of all the action you’ll find a number of popular hotels, including Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, as well as several others that aren’t of the Disney brand but are just as fun and convenient, including the Hilton Anaheim and the boutique Ayres Hotel Anaheim.

Another must-see in Anaheim is Angel Stadium, especially if you are a sports fan. This venue is one of the oldest stadiums in Major League Baseball, making it an absolutely classic spot. You can take your family out to a ball game and enjoy the merriment in the perfect All-American setting. Angel Stadium offers pizza, barbecue, and numerous other tasty food options, as well as fireworks and special events after the games.
