A modest hotel along bustling Katella Avenue in Anaheim, the Discovery Inn and Suites is a notch above its neighboring Motel 6 and Holiday Inn comrades, but less pricey and formidable than the big-rig Disney-name hotels. We squeezed 10 people into a standard room; the walls were thick enough that we didn't annoy our neighbors (and I know: we asked them the next morning), there was enough room on the queen beds to fit three people each (and enough floor space for the rest of our roommates), plenty of hot water (even after 10 showers), and we didn't have to register our cars for the night, so we stealthily parked three. They served a modest breakfast, though Starbucks was right across the street, and wi-fi was free and fast. Plus, the bathroom was enormous. I actually really liked this little joint - a hop, skip, and a jump from Disneyland for only $70 a night. Can't beat that!Recommended for:Budget Travelers
