Vegetarian everything. The menu isn't confined to Indian food. You can order salads, wraps, burgers and more. The digs are down to earth, located on Market Street around the corner from City Hall and the public library. The veggie burger is pretty good – a patty of beans, zucchini, carrot, sesame seed, and other mash. Lots of healthy drinks to pair with meals, from lhassis to freshly-squeezed OJ like mom used to make. It's clean, no frills, and friendly. You'll either love it or simply like it.

Ananda Fuara doesn't look like anything special from its inconspicuous entrance on Market Street near the Civic Center. But it has some of the best vegetarian food I've ever eaten. I've been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed by their menu. The "neatloaf" is especially tasty, as is the Wild Mushroom benedict if you come for breakfast.
