A small locally owned seafood restaurant and fish market in the Castro. Owned and operated by the same owner since 1977, San Francisco's one-and-only Anchor Oyster Bar.

Located in the Castro this restaurant is definately on the LGBT friendly list. They have amazing seafood and a nice homey atmosphere but it's a bit pricey.

A hidden little treasure in the Castro. Some of the freshest crab, oysters and local seafood fresh off the boat. Its a small place and a small menu, but well worth a try for some local Dungeness crab!

When you're in SF, you wouldn't immediately think of going to Castro for clam chowder. Nevertheless, this small oyster bar has some delicious seafood offerings. Even though they have their set menu, they are totally willing to mix it up for you and customize your orders.

Also, they don't have corking fees and there's a fun wine bar across the street :)

The only thing that really was a bummer was the 1+ hr wait.

Went on a Sat. night and waited for 1 hour for 3 people but in my opinion the food was worth the wait! Their clam dish is soo good, especially when you dip their bread in the sauce. Oysters were great too!

Small but great sea food restaurant that's been in the Castro neighborhood since 1977. It seems there is always line out the door, so you might need to expect to wait a little before seated. The food is great but the prices are high.

Great seafood. No reservations - Often long lines. Get the Caesar Salad.
