Small town by mainland standards. Better to be out in wild Alaska instead of the city. Some great and interesting food. Don't pass up the food carts with reindeer and elk meat sausages and gyros! Some cool gift ships and interesting stores.

Hope, Alaska redefines the phrase 'small town'. There is one cafe, one bar, one library, and one streetlight. Make Hope your first stop after leaving Anchorage for lunch and you will never forget it's quaint charm and welcoming locals. Also, the view at the end of Main Street will blow your mind.
