Ann Arbor is greatly influenced by the University of Michigan, which has been here since 1837, and lends an edgy, artsy vibe to this city of 114,000. Strolling through the downtown area, which is blended with University campus is the best way to get a feel for Ann Arbour, allowing you to take in its sidewalk cafes, bookstores, and cultural offerings from theater to music. Sports fans will enjoy taking in a game at the University stadium, the largest football stadium in America, while a variety of affordable and quirky restaurants are set amidst public sculptures and parklands.

Ann Arbor is famous for its funky, creative community and a citywide commitment to organic, locally grown food. The historic downtown is filled to the brim with incredible five star restaurants, wine bars, college dive bars, off the wall boutiques and second-hand bookstores. It's an incredible place to simply walk around and discover something new to fall in with. One of the best times to visit is in the summer, when the city hosts a multitude of free, outdoor festivals and attractions, like the Top of the Park live music series and Shakespeare in the Arb performances.

Ann Arbor is really cool as far as small cities. The downtown is great for shopping with a lot of unique little shops and cafes to check out. There is also plenty of nature nearby so you can mix things up between city and nature.

Cute small city. Sat for a cup of tea in an eclectic cafe. Visited for business. Lots of character.
