Anne Hostel is basically a no frills type of youth hostel located a couple of blocks from Asakusabashi Station. The neighborhood is quiet and while the building itself is quite old it is fairly clean. The first floor contains a lounge and a kitchen and the second floor has private double and single rooms. The third floor is male only and the fourth is for women. All showers and toilets are shared.
There is a curfew set at 11:30 every night and the doors are locked without exception, so this probably isn’t the place for night lifers, but for students and backpackers passing through this is a fairly nice cheap to put your luggage and get a good night’s sleep as the building is quiet at night.
Asakusa Shrine and its many tourist attractions are within walking distance, but honestly everything in the area can be seen within a day, so if you’re just passing through and want to take in some sightseeing and not spend a lot of money then this is a fairly safe bet.Recommended for:
