You buy tics and board at Navy Pier. You go down the Chicago River in an open top boat optimized for sightseeing. You learn much about many buildings along the river - famous and not, other Chicago facts, too. I love the fireworks cruises. You roll out of the river into Lake Michigan and Fireworks start blasting. Chicago has fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday nights ALL SUMMER LONG!!!

This is an amazing way to explore and see the architecture of Chicago. The tour guides are extremely informative and know the history of the city like the back of their hands. If you're a photographer, I found the best place to sit was at the back of the boat. Also, another tip might be to take an early morning cruise or an evening tour amongst the sunset. Chicago can have some of the best sunsets I've ever seen.Recommended for:History Buffs
