Arenal Observatory Lodge is located just nest to the Arenal Volcano National Park, a 12 kms distance from the popular village of La Fortuna town. The Park, home of Costa Rica's active volcano Arenal, offers hundreds of scenic overlook and trails. Stunning vistas and hot lava make touring the park an experience to remember.
The Arenal Observatory Lodge is the best place to experience the thrill and beauty of the Arenal volcano because of its location, its long history as a research center and the knowledge and the experience of its staff and guides.Recommended for:History Buffs

Easygoing and breathtakingly beautiful experience--a cluster of comfortable little unfancy villas, overlooking a lush green valley and distant blue lake. Flocks of colored parrots swoop across the vista from time to time, to pluck fresh cantaloupe and pineapple from a tall feeding platform down the hillside. The Arenal Volcano is always visible to the right ('sic') of your villa, and the lodge has delicious free breakfast, with loads of fresh fruit. Howler monkeys bay at sunrise overhead in the trees, you cross a walkway to swim in an infinity pool that looks across to the volcano. You can go check out capuchin monkeys and coatis on a hike in the new forest, very near; or go to the volcano spas a few miles away.
