With its nautical brick-and-timber decor, think of the Argonaut's style as upscale pirate chic. In the heart of Fisherman's Wharf and across the street from the Maritime Museum's historic ship pier, the Argonaut conveys a sense of excitement about venturing to far-off lands. As a high-end Kimpton property, the hotel also offers umpteen amenities tailor-made for all types of adventurers, including a salty dog-themed bar and restaurant, yoga mats in every room, and even a pet goldfish to keep seafaring kids company during their stay.

If you want to stay in Fisherman's Wharf, this is definitely a top choice. The service is very nice in this hotel, and the rooms are comfortable. The location is great, just across the street from the waterfront and in the heart of the action.

Part of the eco-friendly, no-fuss Kimpton Hotel chain, the Argonaut is a cool little nautical-themed spot in the Fisherman's Wharf neighborhood. Admittedly it's a touristy spot, but if you want to be near the waterfront and not pay an outrageous amount for your room, this boutique-style hotel is refreshing. Got kids? They get their own welcome gift, animal-print robes to borrow, and a list of nearby parks and kid-friendly recreation nearby. Parents can also arrange babysitting services, stroller rentals, etc. Got a pet? You can bring those four-legged family members here too.

This place is great if you want to explore SF without the high-rise/industrial feel of downtown. Its build in a old cannery and right next to fisherman wharf. Easy access to the bay and golden gate bridge, as well as north beach and china town.

If you must stay in the Fisherman's Wharf area, this is the hotel to stay at. Located at the far end of the wharf, closest to Fort Mason, it is a bit less tourist infested than the other hotels. It is clean, friendly and pet and kid friendly.

Wonderful hotel, part of the Kimpton chain. This hotel, like most Kimpton hotels, is clean, roomy, and has great service. This hotel is a great location for Fisherman's wharf. If you are going to an event at Fort Mason and don't want to drive afterwards, this is a great hotel to stay at if you don't mind a little walk.

Only thing odd about this hotel - no free coffee in the morning. Say what?
