Four majestic waterfalls perfect for frolicking. You can backpack 22 miles round trip, helicopter in for a quick visit or pay for mules transport. We backpacked and camped for a long weekend of digital detox. Alcohol is not allowed as this is a sacred campsite. Really, what do you need in life besides an epic adventure where you encounter snakes, ...

Phantom Ranch is a camping and lodging facility located along Bright Angel Creek at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The lodging includes bunks for the single traveler or cabins for couples or larger groups. Those staying in the cabins/bunks also have access to a shower facility (which is wonderful after a full day of hiking). I did not stay ...

Beautiful complex, extremely large. I have a bad sense of direction so finding the room was difficult a couple of times lol. The room itself was large and beautiful. Unfortunately no wifi in the rooms, but a very large lobby with lots of sitting area with wifi. Though it can be quite a walk from your room.

This hotel is conveniently located across from the Convention Center. There is a small pool and hot tub area. The free weight room/exercise area is very nice. The top of the hotel has a revolving restaurant (The Compass) that serves late night dessert and drinks. Service was very slow, though. There is an Einstein's Bagels in the lobby as well ...

This Hyatt Place follows along the new updated designs and concept of this newer brand of the Hyatt Family. The appeal is to savvy, younger business travelers, to give Hyatt something to compete in business categories against Hilton's, Holiday Inn and Starwood brands. The design is modern, with service minimized to the essentials for well seasoned business travellers, like a ...

The desert is not necessarily a place where one would seek ultimate comfort. Luckily if you place a four star Hilton Resort in the middle of one, well, this changes everything. The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort is the ultimate get away no matter how old you are. Sadly, I did not get to experience the Golf ...

What a disappointment! This hotel looks gorgeous from the outside, but has tons of problems on the inside! The itchy sheets, poor air conditioning, ill-conceived layout and improper soundproofing made this one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I've had in all my years of travel! I know it's located in the desert, but the a/c just didn't work in ...

You know it's going to be modern, fresh and technology-savvy if it’s a W concept hotel. Grab a free 5-minute shuttle from the airport to the high-tech world of hotel stay and it won’t disappoint. I love the nearness to Tempe (home to Arizona State University), downtown Phoenix and the Metro Light Rail that can transport you very easily to ...

Historic. Classy. Unique. The Hotel San Carlos, built in 1928, is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. And it's this Phoenix history that the hotel definitely plays up. Each floor is decorated in a specific theme. The second, where I saw a room, is covered with air force memorabilia. The third, where Marilyn Monroe stayed (in the hotel's only double-suite) ...

There seems to be a trend among the hotels set in Old Town Scottsdale – 1960s design with a slight spin on the style. This particular hotel comes with a California beach feel. White, sky blue and orange adorn the walls and decor; however, this is the least charming of the bunch. I mean, it’s OK. But it’s very small. ...

My husband, my sister and I rented a cabin here in April. It had a great little kitchen, a living room, and two bedrooms. It was central to great day hikes in the area. We used it for a base to explore lots of N. Arizona. It was quiet and almost empty. April is a shoulder season, so I'm sure ...
