It's like being on a cruise ship in the middle of the desert. This ship stops in the South Mountain Preserve, where you get off-board to hike, bike or horseback ride. This is only a simile but with all the activities at the resort, along with the family spirited atmosphere, it truly is an experience. The private Oasis Waterpark is famous across the country and here's why: 7 acres of waterpark, a wave pool, lazy river with rapids, 3 waterslides and a huge hot tub. It's dreamy. During the summer, there is live entertainment, games and a big screen at one of the pools. The hotel itself is huge with 740 various styles of suites and thousands of feet of meeting/event space. One thing to remember, though, is that it comes at a price. There is a standard room fee per night AND, gasp, a pretty steep ‘resort fee’. So make the most of your stay and use the golf course, spa and waterpark!Recommended for:

WATTEEERRRR PPPAARRRRKKK!!!!! That's how excited I was when I saw the massive water park and rocking water slides! Many of the resorts tailor to the golf scene in Phoenix, so its nice to discover one to cool off at during the 100 degree summer months. I, being a local, don't mind golfing during the summer months to take advantage of the discounts. They do have a golf course, I found as awesome as the water parks, on the property. So what else? O yea, a 20,000 foot athletic club and 17 acre mountain that will flip your wig. I don't know what Zumba is because I lift weights like the Terminator, but I noticed Zumba, and several other fitness classes on the list. The suite style rooms are great too, this hotel is perfect for a family weekend!Recommended for:
