Beautiful island with gorgeous beaches and weather. I spent Christmas here a few years back and it was lovely. Dutch cultural elements and funky historical touches as well as truly gorgeous nature.Recommended for:

HOT weather almost all year round with a constant light and breezy wind that cools you off all day. Great for families and young people looking to get away. Also noticed a lot of the older/grandparent generation hanging out in the casinos. Would reccommend staying at the Ritz Carlton when it opens in July/August 2013.

Came here on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. More of an East coast vacation destination as it is pretty far from California. I like that Aruba is small enough to see the whole thing in a short amount of time, but also diverse enough to enjoy different activities. The desert in the middle and the great beaches surrounding it.
Aruba is absolutely beautiful, people friendly, great food, nice view, go all exclusive, beach is just as beautiful as seen i have this for a screen saver but u can see the ocean, breath taking, great shops, the 1 thing, no room service, but that was fine water is excellent and so r hospital, there was even a dunkin~ donuts there.
Aruba was fun but honestly I wouldn't go there again. There are far more interesting places to visit and spend your hard earned money. It's a desert island - literally. There's not much to do but lay around on the beach and scuba. Food is rather expensive as well although it's usually pretty darn tasty. We went just after tourist season so that may have had a lot to do with the lack of cheap food. We expected more roadside stands and we found very few. The sightseeing destinations weren't anything to shout about either.
Basically if all you want to do is hang out at a beach around a bunch of folks from New Jersey then Aruba is right up your alley.
We had an amazing time; extremely hot weather and fun spots to go at night when it cools down a bit, without or with the children - good restaurants. The only complaint is that when we were on the beach, the wind was very strong almost each of the four days we were there. The sand actually hurt when it hit your body. We always bring our kids with us (at this point we only had two) so I like to find Caribbean places that are child friendly and IMHO this was. Also- getting arond is easy- especially if you drive a stick shift (which I do) :-)
More akin to visiting Palm Springs or Scottsdale, Aruba's dry inland climate combined with crystal clear waters and breathtaking beaches make it a vacation spot that is second to none. The diving in Aruba is easily some of the best in the Caribbean, and families will love the ease with which several of the beaches provide walk-off access to marine life and reefs. Highly recommended as a vacation destination or as part of a Caribbean cruise!!!
I am an unabashed fan of the Caribbean. I also enjoy Dutch culture. Aruba, in the Dutch West Indies is, therefore, one of my fav places in the world. A beach paradise with unique environmental features, the island offers anything a tropical tourist could dream of.
