    Hongdae Guesthouse

    Hongdae Guesthouse

    5 reviews

I loved the views from the rooms. If you request a high-floored room you can see right out over the whole city. The private rooms can fit between 6-8 people comfortably and are really spacious for a hostel, with some of the beds tucked away in a cute little loft area. They come equipped with their own kitchenette, refrigerator and ...

    Betel Box Hostel

    Betel Box Hostel

    5 reviews

This hostel has an amazingly helpful staff who gave us really good recommendations on what to see and eat. Tony sat down with us and planned our itinerary step by step. It is a bit far from the center but cheap public buses run from this area to the entire city. It is surrounded by really great Chinese restaurants. Also ...

    Suk 11 Hostel

    Suk 11 Hostel

    5 reviews
Fair - 70% of guests recommend

Suk 11 is a Bangkok gem. Formerly a private residence, the double-story guesthouse has been converted to accommodate backpackers looking for clean, affordable, air-conditioned rooms. It's far enough away from Khao San Road and its many tourists, but just a 5-minute walk to the SkyTrain, which is quite easy to navigate. The neighborhood around Suk 11 is full of nice ...

    Vy Khanh Guesthouse

    Vy Khanh Guesthouse

    2 reviews

I only paid $15 for a private bedroom with bath here during my first night in Vietnam. The family is very friendly and personally delivered me a drink. The guest house itself is in a very narrow building and is tucked in the side streets in Saigon. Nevertheless, if I were to come back to Saigon, I would stay here ...

    Beewon Guesthouse

    Beewon Guesthouse

    4 reviews

There are two things that made this hotel for me: the staff and the cats! While I realise the cats may not be for everyone, it would be hard not to feel made welcome here. The staff were extremely chatty and helpful. Although I was there in the afternoon, I sensed a bit of a party atmosphere. The hostel is ...

    Reggae Guest House 2

    Reggae Guest House 2

This hostel is a stunning oasis of comfort and cleanliness amidst a precarious backpacker world. This is one of the only cases in which it will ever be OK to sleep in a 25 person dormitory. You get your own private pod-like bed with a curtain and plenty of storage space. The free breakfast is remarkable. Actually, so are the ...

    Bangrang Hostel

    Bangrang Hostel

    2 reviews

A large effort to create a truly homey feel has obviously gone into this hostel. It's done in a traditional Korean style, but with a contemporary edge. There are nice communal areas in the hostel, a small terrace, an indoor lounge area filled with cushions, a decent sized kitchen, PC room and TV room. This is just as well as ...

    The Jiong House

    The Jiong House

    2 reviews

One of many guesthouses located along the river in an old building. It's a neat place to stay but not sure if it is distinguishable from all the others on this street. Fan rooms are windowless but air-con rooms have a nice view over the river.

Just a stone's throw away from both the thronged streets of Myeong Dong and Namsan Park, I had no idea this cute little area, full of windy streets and coffee shops was even here.
