Specializing in Keralan and Andheri home-cooked style food, Gunpowder is one of the most popular spots in South Delhi's trendy Hauz Khas Market neighborhood. It's known for its rich meat-based dishes served with flaky parantha (flatbread), although there's also plenty for vegetarians. This small restaurant gets its name from a super-hot spice blend that's mixed with oil an; if you ...

    Bag of Beans

    3 reviews

Cute cafe with a view. Oprah raved about their Alamid Coffee (aka Civet Coffee...look it up), and it IS pretty good. Come to avoid crowded locales, look out over the water, and sip Barako coffee. Head's up: parking can be a bit painful in the miniscule lot.

    Cabbages & Condoms

    20 reviews

I remember when the owner of Cabbages and Condoms visited my High School (International School of Bangkok). His restaurant may sound gimmicky, but little do tourists know that he helped set the movement for family planning and sex education. And for that, I fully support this restaurant!

    Ibu Oka

The best suckling pig place there is. Like our friend Olga said, I could eat this everyday. There are quite a few famous suckling pig places in Bali but Ibu Oka is one of the most popular ones. If you are just in time, you can see the whole pig in the grill. One dish of suckling pig and a ...

    Quán Cafe Phố Cổ

Cafe Pho Co is located in a little alley way of a building close to Hoan Kiem Lake. It you have to go down a random pathway, but you eventually see an old-school building with random asian motifs. Go all the up the flight of stairs, sit by the balcony where you get a scenic view of the lake, and ...

    Samy's Curry Restaurant

Exceptional no frills Indian. Samy's serves delicious curries directly from a wooden bowl to the leaf on your plate. Cutlery is the exception. Plan to get your hands dirty and have a fantastic meal.

Hookah, sangria and tapas! Small spot next to Sahara. The girls and I stopped by for some post dinner quality time, and it did not disappoint. Even though we just ate we still ordered the potato croquettes, cheese sticks and fries with a delicious mayo dipping sauce.

Excellent high-end Thai cuisine served in a lovely Thai style building that is surrounded by a lotus pond. The food and service are top notch. A little more expensive than most places but still very reasonable. A must visit in Bangkok.

    Tong Hua Night Market

This is the night market right next to JV's Hostel, one of the nicer hostels in Taipei. Although not nearly as big as the Shilin Night Market, this place still has an excellent selection of food and shops.

Trendy bistro attached to Plaza Senayan shopping center (entry from Sogo department store). Great atmoshere, it has that touch of a French bistro.
