    Bali Buddha Restaurant

    4 reviews

When I visited Bali on my own, I came to Bali Buddha multiple times, just to hang out with a juice drink and my book. They have an extensive menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, etc. all using organic produce, raw items, and whole grain breads that are baked on-site. The soup dumplings and beef stew noodles are to die for here! Also the winter melon tea and boba milk tea was light and fluffy - perfectly Taiwanese! Very cute decor would definitely come back!

I think the Tokyo outlet of this Sydney restaurant is better than the original. High quality innovative modern fusion in an attractive environment with attentive service. Perfect for a business dinner or special night out. The pre fixe dinner is exceptionally good value given the quality level. The wine list is extensive and pricing isn't egregious for Japan.

    Cabbages & Condoms

    20 reviews

I remember when the owner of Cabbages and Condoms visited my High School (International School of Bangkok). His restaurant may sound gimmicky, but little do tourists know that he helped set the movement for family planning and sex education. And for that, I fully support this restaurant!

Posh dining place in the heart of Jakarta. The view is great you get a good bird's eye view of the city infamous HI Roundabouts and scrapers. Food presentation is excellent, but didn't really keep up on the taste side. Was just okay for me.

This lovely Mediterranean restaurant at Capella has lovely views and you could almost be forgiven for thinking you've landed in Bali. Good food with exceptional atmosphere. 3 reviews

For anyone desperate for a coffee and a seat, you could do worse than the Starbucks in Shinagawa Station. It's on the second floor and armed with large, dark wood picnic tables to accommodate impromptu graphic lunch meetings with the boss man. Everyone is in dark suits and on a deadline. Those that want to avoid the ear piercing vapid ...

    Ibu Oka

Featured on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" segment on the Travel channel this place is known for their delicious suckling pig. The pig is basted in honey and cooked for hours. Its a bit tough to eat, but it's worth the time and effort.
