The A-list ski town has no shortage of plush hotels primed for romance—such as The Little Nell or the St. Regis—or sips to get you there: the Rocky Mountain state’s legendary craft beer scene helped rank this tony mountain town at the top of the survey for its local brews (such as Aspen Brewing’s pale ale called This Season’s Blonde). ...

Snowmass is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Aspen with great hills to ski down. It's a cute little village that you should definitely take the opportunity to visit.

Located about 45-minutes from Aspen, Basalt is charming little town with a smattering of good restaurants, galleries, and outdoorsy activities liking fishing, boating, and mountain biking. It also has a good variety of lodgings, especially short-term rentals if you're looking for a home away from home.

Crystal isn't much of a town... no real shops, just a few homes and some of them have set up a makeshift restaurant of sorts... seems like they'll cook for you if you show up. The attraction here is just trying to get to the place! This town is not accessible via any paved roads at all... the only way ...

We were just passing through on our way to Wyoming and were so awe struck by the views and impressed at the vegetarian options in the area, we decided to get a cabin here for 6 months. We look forward to a long snowy winter in this cozy mountain town!

One of the best ski resorts in Colorado. The skiing itself is fantastic and even if you don't want to ski there's plenty to do. Vail Village is full of shops and great places to eat and if you want to get out and do some hiking or dog sledding all of that is available as well.

Resolution Bowl is basically heaven on earth! It's the best of the summit county resorts but the least known.

Great place to call home...close to everything you could ever want in the outdoors. Hunting fishing, camping, rafting, skiing, hiking...a splendid melting pot of culture, music, art and people.

I spent a lot of time here as a kid. It still has this rough and tumble miner charm that is often washed away in the ski resorts nearby. Don't miss a trip to Turquoise Lake, the Fish Hatchery or a steak at Quincy's.
