I do like Campo de' Fiori, but only because I can't not like a historic, bustling square in Rome. That said, it's probably my least favorite of the large ones in Centro Storico, mostly because it just feels a bit dirty. If I lived here, I'd probably like to indulge in an aperitivo at a few of the surrounding bars ...

This museum was founded in 1471 after Pope Sictus IV donated some bronze statues. It is an art and archeological museum, containing pieces connected with Rome history. One of the pieces that mostly impressed me is the bronze statue of the wolf with Romolo and Remo.

Quaint picturesque street near Campo di Fiori. Cascading ivy and whimsical fountain make it worth a quick stop.

This is one of the amazing buildings by Borromini. It faces Piazza Navona and can be enjoyed from a number of different angles while in the Piazza. Unfortunately, despite numerous visits to the exterior, I never saw the church open. However, looking from the outside is the most edifying.

Impressive villa with some erotic frescoes and some interesting markings from the German occupation on the wall. We had a private tour so I am not sure what the public one entails, but I can't imagine it would be disappointing. The art is wonderful.

The vinegar makers' arch, very close to Piazza Campo de' Fiori off the Via del Pellegrino, opens onto a piazza considered to be one of the few remaining traces of old Rome.

I think i appreciate the Museo di Roma more than I actually like it. It's not exactly filled with interesting stuff, so the 9€ entrance fee seems a bit much. The museum features Roman history mostly revolving around the papal era, with only one room dedicated to ancient history. There is an interesting section on the construction of Piazza Navona, ...

What I love most about Abbey Theatre is probably the location. Like other pubs in Rome, I'm not exactly blown away by the beer selection or prices. I did notice that wine was noticeably cheaper, and a cocktail with Jack-level quality ran only a euro or so more than a pint. That said, this is a nice place and the ...

Great men's clothing store with reasonable prices. Some of the styles skew a bit Comme de Garçon but very wearable if you can find something that fits.

The Sisto Bridge is a pedestrian bridge cutting across the Tiber River. At night when you see the lights lit up along the river, Rome becomes more intimate and magical.

The ambiance at Fluid is really cool - it almost has a spa-like atmosphere, with waterfalls and trickling streams made possible by choreographed lights. The apperitivo spread they have is delicious from what I remember, and I've tried a few good cocktails here: their classic mojito and raspberry daquiri are especially refreshing. It's the perfect spot for either a date ...

What an oasis of sophistication in the Campo de' Fiori! Sitting quietly in the middle of the bars, restaurants and crowds is Fahrenheit 451, a classy little bookstore that also sells a selection of videos. I purchased a Pier Paolo Pasolini novel here, one of my few purchases in my (by now) three weeks in Italy. This place has a ...

It is one of my favourite streets in Rome. There are beautiful shops, such as Delfina Delettrez's jewlery, vintage shops and a nice bijoux shop where I find very original pieces in acetato. In this street there is also Baffetto's pizzeria. Staff is rough but pizza is excellent.

Draft Book is a great place for a drink near the Campo de' Fiori. Part bookstore and part bar, the classy interior is a stark contrast to the dinginess (albeit a fun dinginess) of the nearby piazza. An open window allows for seating with a view of the outside. Rum drinks start from 5 euros, and the place serves Belgian ...

I love this shop with vintage pieces of bijoux. The main material is acetato, presented in many different colours. You could chose a necklace made up of cherries, or maybe dog shape earings. Everytime I pass there I can't but get inside.

This is in fact one of the three women clothing shops of this 'chain'. They are very close to one another and, having the same style they are a different in prices, from the cheapest to the most expensive but, however, with very interesting pieces. I would say I never resist entering when I have the chance to pass there ...

Lovely little church in the Centro Storico located at the end of a small street near the Campo de' Fiori. Surrounded by restaurants, the church really adds to the romance of the scenery. Like many religious buildings in Rome, the interior is gorgeous, filled with ornate decorations and oil paintings. Definitely stop in for a look as, given its prime ...
