    McSorley's Old Ale House

15 East 7th Street, New York, NY
0.18 mi from Astor Wines & Spirits
    11 reviews

Founded in 1854, Mcsorley's is New York's oldest bar and because of this its slogan is, "We've been here since before you were born." Are you kidding me McSorley's? You've been here since when my ancestors were getting raped and pillaged by frigging Cossacks. No shit you've been here before I was born. And you know what McSorley's? I love ...

Yoga to the People is excellent for those who don't have, or don't want to spend, a lot of money on yoga as it is donation based. It can get pretty crowded in the late afternoon/evening, but it is wonderful early in the morning. I don't know much about the practice (I'm not hardcore into yoga), I just know that ...

Tucked away in a hidden alleyway, Bespoke Chocolates offers some top notch chocolates. Their famous pretzel covered sea salted caramels are to die for! Definitely try their other chocolates though, they were all wonderful. Also if they're good enough for Lily... (had to throw that reference in there :p)

    The Vault at Pfaff's

0.18 mi from Astor Wines & Spirits

One of my favorite cocktail spots in all of Manhattan. I highly recommend the blue martini. It might be on Broadway but because it is hard to find, there aren't many tourists here. It is a perfect date spot or a quite place to catch up and meet with a friend.

Washington Square Park is NYC at its best. It is my favorite NYC park. Great for people watching, random performances or just a lunch break. Beautiful anytime of the year but especially during spring time when flowers and trees are in full bloom. If you are visting the village don't skip it.

The Village is an entity all on its own. Hip, edgy, and slightly eclectic - though not as glitzy as SoHo. It's a great place to stroll around a park, sip a latte, or just watch the community pass you by.

Home to the largest enclave of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere, Chinatown reflects supreme authenticity of the Chinese culture imported from the motherland miles away. Vibrant signs, store and restaurant fronts, and displays fill the streets luring locals and tourists to embrace some of China without a passport.

Decided to check this place out due to recommendations. We arrived a few minutes early, had a dog at crif dogs and then we entered the phone booth. What a great way to enter an establishment. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, perfect for a night with good company. I can't wait to go back.

You have to know someone to get a reservation here, have a membership, or just have the good fortune to find your way in. They change their phone number on the regular, so it's not listed anywhere. The ultimate speakeasy, there is no way to spot this place except for a very subtle "M&H" decal on the door. I happened ...

Uniqlo is my favorite clothing store. Hip, cheap and well made, Uniqlo's offerings serve as the basis of my daily street wear. Death and Co. is refuge for some seeking specialty cocktails of odd design and invention, but personally it's not my favorite. Pegu Club is a better bet for the oddball cocktail in my opinion. At the same time Death and Co. is still a good time, with an interesting scene and darker ambiance. Just don't go thinking it's the best ...
