I have been staying at this hotel forever!
Even though it has been open for 30 years it continues to remain relevant in the ever changing hotel scene.
It is comfortable and modern and the rooms are huge!
The location is great also, it is centrally located in Athens but not in an area infested by tourists.
If you should ever need to go to the American Embassy it is right across the street.
It also is a 5 minute walk from Kolonaki Sq and you can easily take the funicular up Lykavitos Mountain for a 360 degree view.

At the reception, I took a look around me and realized how truly open spaced it was. The hotel literally takes up a city block all the way around. The interior spaces show this ‘expanse’, starting with the fabulous restaurant on the ground floor, and going all the way up to the ‘Galaxy’ bar on the roof with the view of most of Athens. I loved the feeling of bright light pouring into the room and all spaces. Just a wonderful overall feel. The decor is ‘airport’ish, not much style to it, it has a clean and slick modern look but generic. Luxury is the feel that emanates all around regardless of stylistic shortcomings. The outdoor pool area with restaurant is very large, feels like an oasis in the hot city. Location is across from the National Art gallery, and a 10 minute walk to Olympic stadium.

What can I say…it’s the Hilton. Quality and excellence are standard. It’s huge, with an airy, open design and many amenities and services. Unless you get an executive room, it is $15 a day extra to use the indoor pool and fitness center, but the outdoor pool is more than satisfactory. The poolside bar guarantees you won’t have to go far for a good time. The restaurant buffet is extensive, the rooftop bar and restaurant looking out over the city with the Acropolis in the distance is amazing, and with another restaurant, plus room service, you don’t have to worry about going hungry. The room was elegant, with a great view and a large bathroom with tub. It’s a bit removed from the heart of Athens, but has some attractions within walking distance – the National Gallery is across the street, and the Parnathinaiko Stadium is a 10 minute walk way.
