I thought this hotel was very pretty. It was coming to the end of a long reconstruction process when I visited, aiming to update from the classic look to a more minimalist style. Part of the reconstruction process involved the development of “intelligent rooms” for guests. I was impressed with the idea. Essentially, the key card used to enter the room also acted as the automatic activation of lights and air-conditioning/heating. It was a great way of ensuring that guests didn’t unknowingly waste energy when leaving things switched on in their rooms. I also liked the fact that the hotel was located in a residential area of Las Condes and close to the large, green area of Park Araucano. There were also lots of coffee shops, cinemas, theatres and restaurants close by. It was very well located.Recommended for:

The pool area was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. There were lots of places to sit, the pool was huge and the patio acted as a kind of suntrap. I was made to feel welcome and looked after from the moment I arrived. They were remodelling, with plans to finish everything by the end of August, but the developments didn’t affect the smooth day-to-day business of the hotel. One development which I wasn’t too keen on was the change of design from classic to modern. The hotel’s trying to going for a more elegant feel, but I found that the changes just made the environment seem hard and cold. There were old and new tables in the restaurant, but I thought the older ones were much nicer in design. One final touch was the bath. It had a really low side which would definitely make it easier for older guests to get in and out. I liked that design a lot.Recommended for:

Bright art and blankets in the rooms, a lovely, grassy pool area and warm, professional service make this hotel inviting. This is the original Atton hotel, a small South American chain, and you can tell it's not brand spankin new. But that said, it's clean and pleasant. The rooms have a comfy chair and footrest, a large desk, and newish carpeting. There's a gym with a bunch of machines, a nice, sunny ground-floor pool, a dining-room style restaurant. It's nothing crazy special, but it's got “buena onda” (good vibes), as the Chileans would say.Recommended for:

The first and last impression at this hotel is the extremely friendly staff. And although the hotel is geared more towards business men, they seem to welcome all equally. The lobby is spacious, modern, very functional, though perhaps lacking chairs to wait for your guests. However, at the bar area, their happy hour every Wednesday and Thursday features live music from 7 pm to 9 pm and the bar's plate of the day. An attractive daily menu for lunch or dinner improves an already pleasant time. The rooms are spacious, stylish and unpretentious, with a partial view of the Andes. Rooms have Wifi and AC. The pool area and garden terrace are simple and relaxed. The hotel has a small business center and is conveniently located near a large shopping center. Just walk a few blocks and get to the Araucano Park where you can exercise your body in the lovely park's large lawn.Recommended for:

The orginal Atton a South American hotel chain known what there clients want and deliver it. This modern hotel with bare cement pillars in the lobby and earth tones throughout is perfect for conferences or big party events. The staff appear youthful but professional. The eating area feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant but conveys a elegant efficiency. The pool is very nice and a pleasure for a swim or to take some sun. The halls are too dark for my taste and I can not tell if they are trying to save energy or it is for effect. The rooms are great, modern but cozy. I think Atton really know what they are doing and they are doing a great job.
