A bohemian hole in the wall serving delicious vegetarian food at totally acceptable prices. Although not a vegetarian myself, I enjoy eating sans la carne. I hate when vegetarianism becomes eating as duty/self-righteous penance. Au Grain de Folie did a great job of making me feel treated, tempted, and satisfied, both physically and aesthetically.

Your best bet for veg food if you are staying in or around the Montmartre area, Au Grain de Folie focuses on fresh, whole, simple meals that are cooked up in the healthiest way possible. In other words, you won't find any deep-fried items or heavy sauces in this little restaurant. The staff are warm and friendly and the ambiance is home-style, with food to match. Dining here feels more like being in someone's living room than in a sit-down restaurant.

Great atmosphere, really tasty food, and lovely staff. We had a really nice evening in our last night in Paris here. It feels like being in the chef's house!

A small hole in the wall with only 5 tables. At first I was a little worried we had made a wrong choice in going out of the way to get here. However the food was excellent. The soup made to order was one of the best I have had and the entrees were also very good and very healthy. Just what I was looking for after a few too many 'heavy' meals.

Charming and unique, Au Grain de Folie is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in all of Paris. It offers only a few tables but for the lucky people sitting in them a veggie delight awaits. I was a vegetarian for 4 years and I have rarely been to a purely vegetarian restaurant this good.
