Fish fish and more fish - not to eat - but to see. A wonderful way to spend the day if the weather is too hot or it's a little rainy.

Good place to take a break from the nightlife and take in some nature and local culture. Also, located right on the Mississippi River so there are some great views.

If you're coming in from a cruise ship, the Riverwalk will be feet from your disembark point. Step in and enjoy some fresh fudge from the Fudgery (don't worry, you'll hear them before you see them), some ice cream, or check out the shops. There's beautiful views of the river as well!

Cool "bug museum" that teaches children (and adults), through interactive and informative displays, that insects are beautiful and vital members of our planets ecosystem. The test kitchen has a small selection of food items prepared with real bugs...I recommend the fried crispy cajun crickets or the juicy meal worm salsa. There is also a special room where you can interact ...

Soooo many different places to eat up stairs. Something for everyone no matter what your hungry far. You can choose to eat inside or outside. While dining outside you can watch cruise ships dock or tug boat pass, feed the pegions. Absolutly beautiful.

The only theater in New Orleans that offers in-seat dining with a menu to die for! (I highly recommend the Cookie a la Mode!) 18+ only, with amazingly roomy chairs and small intimate theaters. Great place to catch indie or art flicks, and plays host to numerous film festivals throughout the year.

Very attractive presentations of all types of candied apples and other sticky sweets, including a very good looking praline made with whole pecans. A bit pricey but a perfect place if you have a craving for sugar.

It's an IMAX...it's clean and it's in the same building as the Audubon Aquarium. Tickets can be purchased individually or they can come with the Audubon's zoo/aquarium/insectarium value ticket bundle (which is why I went). On a rainy day it's a nice way to pass an hour or two...

Spain dedicated this plaza in 1976 to the City of New Orleans in remembrance of their common historical past and as a pledge of fraternity in the future. At its focal point is the fountain surrounded by the seals of the provinces of Spain. It was originally known as Eads Plaza to honor the Engineer who improved the navigability of ...

The place to go for hokey junk, hotsauce, alligator jaws, leather goods, fake sunglasses and watches, and a fair amount of nummy food, the French Market is an essential part of the experience of being in the Quarter. It's touristy, to be sure, but some things are popular for a reason.
