I admit it: I'm not a Disney fan. At all. But this is hands down the most exquisitely designed resort at Ko Olina. It's an all-encompassing experience for families, from the hula dancing lessons by the pool to storytime hour to the gobstopping spa. Rates aren't cheap, but they do include many freebies and activities. The biggest drawback - and it's enough to prevent me from recommending this place to friends and family - is how far away it is from everything else on the island. It's a 45-minute drive at least to Waikiki. You'll feel isolated here and after a few days, you may have 'resort fever' and be desperate to find somewhere to be that's more natural and less artificial. But if you're the kind of person who likes to check in and never leave the resort grounds until your vacation is over, it's a fab choice.

Simply Amazing! Eight of us went in May 2012 for a week and had the most relaxing vacation ever. The only bad part of the trip was when we took a day trip to Honolulu.
This is the kind of resort you never need to leave. Great food, great pools, nice beach and more activites than you can imagine.
It's definitely family friendly but you do not need to have children to enjoy Aulani. I have zero tolerance for children but I still had the best time ever and was rarely annoyed by screaming, crying, etc.
Make sure you get shaved ice with ice cream and condensed milk while you are at the pool.

Beautiful Disney resort in Ko'Olina. Great for families, obviously, but very upscale accommodations and amenities that it doesn't feel like you're at a Disney resort.

Simply beautiful! My family and I decided to make the short trip down the hill to check out Disney's new timeshare resort. Let me tell you: they did an amazing job applying Disney magic without being overbearing. You'll see hints of it around, like Stitch wandering the premises, but what you really get is great service, lots of fun amenities and a beautiful location.
I remember when Ko Olina first opened, how the untouched coves were pristine and pure. It's busier now, but still better than the bustle of Waikiki.
All-day parking for non-residents costs $35/day, but you can offset this fee by spending $35 and validating your ticket for free parking.

A fun and awesome Disney themed resort on Oahu, located on the west side at Ko'Olina. There's waterfalls, exotic local flowers, tiki torches that gives it the Hawaiian and Polynesian feel, but still incorporates Disney's touch with cartoon characters in their decor and throughout the resort. Walk around and you'll bump into a character or two. Even the food has Disney characters and symbols. A fun and relaxing place for adults and keikis.

Stayed here the second week it was open. We are owners at DVC in Hawaii the staff and facilities are top notch. Had a great view every morning from our balcony of the ocean and pool area. Not to be missed is the 5 star spa the treatments are outstanding that the private water area was get for soaking in. Will be back in September 2013.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in a standard view room. We were welcomed with flavored water and leis - tuber roses for me, kokui nuts for him. Our room was very nice, mini-fridge, big bathtub, and the view from the balcony was coconut trees. Heavy glass doors kept the noise out; heavy curtains kept the light out. Glad that breakfast from the Olelo Room was included because it would have been $25-$30 each day otherwise. Lots of stuff to do... Disney movies on the big screen every night, Hawaiian stories by the fire, making Hawaiian crafts, hot tubs, swimming pools, and a tour of all the plants on the property. Have your picture taken with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Stitch. The lagoon is great for watching sunset. The horseback riding excursion was awesome. Germaine's luau was not. Thought about renting a car from the hotel but at $60/day and an extra $50 to drop it off at a different location (the airport), we decided not to. Weather was great every day!
Tip: there's a grocery store across the street from the resort that has spam sushi, fresh papaya and Aloha Maid soft drinks.
